Dog Breeds and Their Political Affiliations
Because we’re all dying to know who our dog would have voted for.
With the election coming to an end, there’s been one thing on my mind — who would my dog have voted for? Through a bit of speculation and research, I’ve taken this specific question and, through it, compiled a list of dog breeds and their political affiliations. Now, I’m here to let you know what political party which dog breeds would subscribe to. So before you go out and get a new dog, check out this list to see if you guys would agree politically.
Golden Retriever
This one might seem controversial, but just trust me on this one. Golden Retrievers are liberals stuck in conservative households. Think about it, they’re friendly and love everyone no matter what.
Doberman Pinscher
As a Doberman owner, I can confidently say Dobermans are Libertarians. Dobermans hate the government and love their guns. Dobermans are Ron Swanson.
Maltese
Malteses are conservatives. They’re your grandma on your dad's side of the family that means well, but is kind of mean.
German Sheperd
German Shepherds are centrists leaning right. They’re dogs that need to have some kind of job, which is why the police force uses them, so they definitely care a lot about the economy and the job market.
English Bulldog
These dogs are old money Republicans for sure. They went to Yale and now drink scotch in their mansions. They also talk about their college days all the time and are very worried about Biden’s tax plan.
Yorkie
Yorkies are the Karens of the dog world. They definitely need to speak to the manager no matter the situation and are Trump’s biggest supporters.
Goldendoodle
Goldendoodles, like Golden Retrievers, are liberals. This one is a little less controversial, I think, because just look at them! They’re the college student who just moved to the city and is becoming their own person.
Borzoi
They’re your liberal Grandma that lives on the Upper West Side. They travel the world and drink fine wines. They always have the best stories from their trips abroad and they always give the best gifts.
So, do you and your dog align politically? Do they roll their eyes at you every time you watch the news network of your choice? Regardless of your dog's political affiliation, I promise they’re still a good boy or girl and deserve all the love in the world.
