This week we are continuing our “Best Dressed” series with a fashionable group of Upstein-goers.

We waited in front of the cash registers and asked some of the trendy people we saw how they would describe their personal style, and also what their favorite foods in Upstein were. And to our surprise, most of Upstein’s fashion elite go wild for for chicken fingers and waffle fries. Regardless of lunch preferences, we spotted some serious fashionistas yesterday. So cheers to them (and to anyone who can look good while scarfing down barbecue sauce).

Hamp Haynes — Global Liberal Studies

“So, I like to wear a lot of solid colors. I buy a lot of clothes from American Apparel because I work there. I like to combine Urban Outfitters style stuff with J. Crew style; sort of preppy. I like 90’s looking stuff.”

When asked his favorite food from Upstein, he quickly replied “Chick-Fil-A.”

Left: Elias Rubin — Tisch: “Today I’m in studio, so I don’t know… studio-suave.”

He also agrees that Chick-Fil-A is the best food in Upstein.

Right: Dani Walsh — Steinhardt for MCC: “Based on my mood.”

Contrary to popular opinion, Dani says that the best food in Upstein is the all-day breakfast.

Left: José Rivera Jr. — Tisch: “Really, really wild. I like to dress however I’m feeling. Not necessarily comfortably, but whoever I want to be that day. Everyday is a different costume.”

Right: Juan Giordano — Gallatin: “Variance.”

He, too, claims that Chick-Fil-A is the best and that he particularly enjoys their grilled chicken sandwiches.

Left: Meg Musselwhite and Martha Anne Parker — Visitors at NYU

Meg: “Controlled comfy.”

Martha Anne: “Comfortable, but dressed for meetings. We’re from the South, so we’re obsessed with Chick-Fil-A.”

Right: Patrick Andrews — CAS: “Urban Chic.”

It seems that there is a pattern of trendy people enjoying Chick-Fil-A. Who would’ve thought? Stay tuned for more “Best Dressed” next week.
