All of The Award-Nominated NYU Alumni Are Also Extremely Hot

We can’t help it if we’re attracted to talented people…

The best and worst thing about going to NYU might just be the fact that anyone you’re sitting next to in class could be the next big thing. That guy who only wears shorts could be on SNL in five years. The girl who won’t stop humming already has a record deal. And you might not even realize until it’s way too late to befriend them.

Not sure if “smash or pass” is still a thing (completely sure about its superficial implications), but let us know if you would try to get a date with these celebs if you went to NYU at the same time as them. It’s safe to say all of our answers are a resounding yes.

Lady Gaga — 3 Grammy nominations

AKA Stefani Germanotta, Gaga attended Tisch in 2004–2005 before getting third place in Ultra Violet Live and dropping out. She sang two original songs: “Captivated” and “Electric Kiss.”

Donald Glover — 4 Grammy nominations

Graduated in 2006 with a job at 30 Rock already locked in, Glover is featured in several Hammerkatz Youtube videos. Try to watch Atlanta without thinking about him as Black Peter Pan.

Christopher McClenney — Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song “Location” by Khalid

Christopher graduated from Steinhardt in 2017 after helping write Khalid’s song “Location.” Almost a year later, it’s nominated for a Grammy!

Pharrell — Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song “Supermodel” by SZA

In 2017, Pharrell was given an honorary degree, just a few months after the movie he produced, Hidden Figures, was nominated for Best Picture. Honorary degrees kind of don’t fit with the template of this game, but go with it.

Sarah Silverman — Grammy nomination for Best Comedy Album, ‘A Speck of Dust’

Sarah went to NYU for about a year and then “just didn’t go back.” Instead, she did comedy around Greenwich Village.

Timothée Chalamet — Academy Award nomination for Best Actor

Although he attended Columbia University for a year, Timo also came downtown to chill with us for a semester or two.

Robert De Niro

Received honorary degree in 1996, a year after his film Heat premiered.

Rachel Brosnahan — Golden Globe winner for Best Actress in a TV Musical/Comedy

Taken 6 months post-grad, Rachel Brosnahan may have prestigious awards now, but did she or did she not buy this shark hat?
