NYU Medical School Graduate Jumps To Death From Roof

A graduate of NYU was found dead yesterday after jumping from the roof of his former dorm room, Vilcek Hall on East 26th street.

According to the Post, 26 year old Sean O’Rourke, who matriculated from NYU’s medical school in May, left his keys and NYU ID on the roof and jumped at around 2 p.m.

NYU School of Medicine released the following statement to Gothamist:

 

 A graduate of the medical school from the class of 2014 died yesterday unexpectedly at NYU School of Medicine. No further details are available as the police are still investigating. Counseling services are being offered to students, faculty and staff. At this time of sudden loss and grief, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of our former student.

    Yes, please everyone go to the “wellness center” so they can dismiss you and treat you horribly while offering zero help. Dismiss my opinion if you want, but this school has the highest suicide rate in the country and this speaks for itself.
