HOLY SHIT DRAKE IS COMING TO NYU

Drake is sitting down with hip-hop journalist Elliott Wilson on September 22nd for an interview at Skirball. Part of Wilson’s CRWN series, which includes interviews from Tyler the Creator, J Cole, Wale, and Macklemore, tickets are supposed to go onsale Friday at noon—but we just bought them now. (Update: see comments.) And it didn’t ask for our student ID and gave us general admission to a seated event? So who knows if it’ll be a clusterfuck. This is fucking awesome.

    Ari,
Thanks for helping spread the word. Here’s some additional info:

    - During a ticketing system testing period this afternoon (which happened to coincide with some early publicity from the producers of the event) some tickets were sold to the event on Sept 22. Some were fortunate enough to get them in those 12 magical minutes. Congrats. If you checked in after we shut the link down, the actual on sale will be Friday at noon.

    - The event is open to the general public ($20) with a limited number of discounted tickets available to NYU students ($10). NYU student ID will be required on site for those with student tickets.

    - You are correct, the event is GA, not reserved seating. Doors will open at 7:30pm.

Should be a great event. Thanks to the Clive Davis Dept of Recorded Music for helping to make it happen at Skirball. We’ll do our best to prevent it from being a clusterf*ck.
