By now we all know the terrible truth: NYU cable does not offer the AMC HD channel, and Breaking Bad viewers all around Washington Square Park were left in the lurch last Sunday. But don’t despair just yet – plenty of venues around New York are airing the show each week. You’ll have to head to Brooklyn for most of these venues, but there are a few fun Breaking Bad parties each week in Manhattan, too. If you live off campus and want to host your own viewing party, check out some Breaking Bad theme ideas below.
Watch Breaking Bad in Manhattan…
East Village | 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R
This bar has a tradition of holding viewing parties for popular shows, and Breaking Bad is no exception. Themed drinks here change weekly based on plot developments, but be warned – the bouncers are very strict about the 21+ restriction.

Come for Breaking Bad, stay for the celebrity sightings – Rihanna and Drake were spotted having dinner at this hot spot last week.

Animal-friendly Breaking Bad fans can watch the show each week at this all vegan bar, which serves themed shots and cocktails for $3-4.
Bushwick | J, L, M
While Tutu’s doesn’t offer Breaking Bad themed drinks during the episodes, it does serve better food than you’ll find at most bars for reasonable prices.

Greenpoint | G

Williamsburg | L
Possibly the best option of all, Exley offers free hot dogs before the show and cheaper drinks during.
Breaking Bad in Style
No Breaking Bad viewing party is complete until you pile on all the themed drinks, games and decorations you can think of. Here are some options to spice up your party (without adding chili powder):
FOOD AND DRINKS:
–Provide blue rock candy (it’s up to you whether to explain what it is right away, or let your friends believe that it’s some of Heisenberg’s crystal).
–Breakfast foods are a must for viewers who admire Walt Jr.’s heartfelt dedication to the most important meal of the day.
–As far as drinks go, just add blue curaçao liqueur to any clear cocktail (or non-alcoholic beverage) and give it a pun-y name. NYC bars have been offering options like the Walter White Russian and Blue Persuasion.
And finally, the ultimate Breaking Bad drinking game – drink every time…
–You learn something about chemistry
–Jesse says “bitch”
–Walt, Jr. misunderstands the situation
–Someone says “Heisenberg”
–Someone calls Saul
–Walt uses his chemistry skills to get out of a tricky situation
–Marie gets upset about Walt and Skylar’s children
–There is a flashback or flash-forward scene
–Skylar does something you know is a mistake
–Hank curses at a suspect or DEA colleague
Take a shot every time…
–Walt says “I’m handling it”
–Drink everything you can find if…
–Jesse Pinkman dies
