An LA-based production company is looking for college students with huge roommate conflicts for a new MTV reality show. They rightly came to us when looking for roommate horror stories. The show will feature the victims and their horrible roommate(s), and will probably involve a gauntlet, a dorm tour, and/or teen pregnancy.

If anyone is interested, submit your name, location, contact info, and a photo of you and your roommate- but don’t tell your horrible food-stealing, sexiling, inconsiderate frenemy that you’re applying. Sure, it may seem a little scary to go behind the back of someone who’s willing to kill you for the free tuition, but cameras and security on set will help you finally (and safely!) convince them to quiet down the sex and that selling your beta fish when you aren’t home is cruel and unusual.

As you consider your horror story and possibly submitting an application to MTV, have a quick chuckle over the NYU website’s info on roommates:

“Living with a roommate can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your college career.  Whether you find a new hobby, learn a new skill, or become good friends, living with a roommate can be fun!  However, living with someone also has its challenges.  Conflict is a normal part of roommate relationships and it is important for these conflicts to be addressed by everyone living in the room/apartment.”

Address those conflicts on a national stage! We love dorm horror stories, and so will reality TV!
