Just when you thought there was no hope left for Violet and Bobby‘s eggs, a miracle has occurred. This morning, one of the babies hatched! City Room has the screengrab of the event, which you can see above. No word yet on the status of the other two eggs, but we will update if there’s more good news.

    Happy Mother’s Day Violet!
Was so glad to see one of them hatch after all that hard work they both put into this family.
Does anyone know what is on Violet’s foot? She seems to be limping and not able to open her toes on one foot.

Something is hooked to Bobby or Violet’s leg and they can’t move far.

Even though Violet looks to be in pain because of her foot, she still manages to stand and feed the little one. So cute!

I just logged on again – as I do periodically during the day, and suddenly realized how green the trees now are! I’m loving this scene. It makes my day.

Has anyone found a name for that little bundle of joy yet? :)

No name for the baby as far as I know.
I do worry about Violet’s leg. I know that Bob will help all he can in hunting for the little one but what about when she will be alone, can she hunt?

How beautiful and absorbing to see what nature happens in secret! When the “experts” declared that the eggs were not going to hatch, I prayed to St. Francis. Thanks be to Him for this miracle..

Lil Miracle is too curious for her own good! Maybe a screen can be put up acroos the ledge? I wish Mama had built the edge higher.
