The “fine dining” also really would not be doing them a favor. The money could be much better spent on, say, career counseling or a health check-up for the homeless.

Taking poor people to a fine dining restaurant is absolutely ridiculous. Even if that is voted most people, it better be vetoed by PIKE and NYULocal. That is the worst comm service idea ever, and incredibly offensive and ignorant. It shouldn’t even be an option if we are to take this seriously

For the record, my idea is the Dog Shelter one. Please note that by the time we get around to doing this service project, it will probably be snowing outside so cleaning up a huge park isn’t exactly ideal.
The idea of taking a homeless person to a nice restaurant is absurd and it would be humiliating to the homeless person. I highly doubt he/she cares what kind of food it is anyways.

Yay, I voted for the thanksgiving dinner one! Why just dog shelters? Why not just animal shelters?

because cats suck.

Just a quick note. If you want this to be taken seriously…you can’t take homeless people to a fine dining restaurant. The owner would never allow them in, customers would be furious, most of them do not have the right mindset to be in a fine dining restaurant, etc. etc. So if that wins just know that it will be impossible to follow through with.
