James France is a first-year student in the graduate film program at Tisch. His photo on the wall labeled “first year” along with the other 30-40 some graduate film students in the Tisch building confirms this. As to his current enrollment, the claim that he has “dropped out” is grounded in relatively nothing. It needs to be verified; an “unconfirmed faculty member” is not sufficient.

I am a Tisch student and I used to see james twice a week at the begining of the fall semester and I stopped seing him when he started promoting Milk. I thought that he probably had some events to attend which prevented him from going to all his classes but it now seems like he’s indeed completely dropped out…

I spoke with him at the Tisch Milk screening. He’s not dropping out. We discussed his projects at the graduate level in comparison to mine at the undergrad level. He talked to me and a few of his classmates about several future projects he’s working on. Simple fluctuation in his schedule does not mandate his dropping out. I don’t eat lunch at Hayden anymore…but I’m not dropping out.
