Two massive donations totaling $260million will finance the expansion of the NYU Hospital and the mid-town med school campus over the coming years.

Helen Kimmel (of Kimmel Center fame) has thrown down $150million towards the construction of a new patient pavilion at the Medical Center. Unsurprisingly, the building will be named in honor of her late husband, Martin S. Kimmel. The other $110million, given anonymously for the redesign of NYU’s Tisch Hospital, brings NYU Med donations up to a record breaking $506million this year alone.
