NYU Stern professor Nouriel Roubini was eerily accurate in predicting the economic crisis, earning him the moniker Dr. Doom from fellow economists. Perhaps newspapers and media outlets wished to capitalize on the imagery with that nickname because the general description of Prof. Roubini has been one of gloomy pessimism.

However, Gawker just announced that Prof. Roubini’s facebook profile and pictures show a different side from the New York Times profile in August. In fact, Nick Denton actually used the words “playboy lifestyle” to describe Prof. Roubini’s life outside of Wall Street’s collapse. Our very baller professor, who has plasters of vulvas hanging on his apartment walls in Tribeca where he often throws parties, responded to Denton via Facebook: “So I live life to its fullest. To paraphrase Seinfeld; anything wrong with that?”

Nothing at all, Professor. Has any Stern students been to Prof. Roubini’s apartment for like a study session or something?
