Pace Student Murdered

Tags:

19 year-old Pace University student Kevin Pravia was strangled in his apartment Sunday morning by a 22 year-old man he solicited for drugs in Union Square. The two returned to Pravia’s apartment, where the suspect proceeded to strangle Pravia with an electrical cord before stealing various electronics. The suspect confessed to the crime after being arrested on unrelated charges. Moral of this story? Get your drugs from friends, not strangers in the park.

I’ve got to say, that moral seems a little disproportionate in the face of death by asphyxiation.

When you really think about it though, isn’t that the moral? Don’t trust strangers in the park.

Considering a student was murdered, bluntly stating the moral (which is already implied) seems more insensitive than disproportionate.
