We Got A Spotify Account To Share Our Ultimate Party Playlist With You

NYU Local loves to party. We also love shoving our opinions down your throats, so we created a Spotify account in order to share our staff’s favorite party jams with the masses. Everyone contributed a few songs, and with a few exceptions (Spotify’s selection is somewhat limited), they’ve all been compiled into a 75-song playlist.

We’re quite a diverse slice of the NYU pie, and our choices of party music reflect that– from Talking Heads to 2 Chainz, this list’s got it all. Listen here. Want to add the playlist to your own Spotify app? Simply click play below and it will begin to play from the Spotify app on your own computer. Party on!

It’s good for any party:
Play it at a classy dinner party
Play it at a ‘bros n hoes’-themed party
Play it at a political party
Play it at your 4 year old cousin’s birthday party until your aunt/uncle tells you to stop

It has its non-party uses too:
Play it when you’re in the shower
Play it to block out the noise of your roommate having sex
Play it in your parents’ car and leave the volume up really high when you’re done
Play it while watching Youtube compilations of cat videos and contemplate a world where cats could party

But there are some places you probably shouldn’t play it:
Don’t play it in space (total silence is kind of an issue)
Don’t play it at full volume on iPod headphones in the subway (we all hate those people)
Don’t play it on Monday mornings
Don’t play it if you value tranquility at all

(This is an #ariparty)

Stay tuned for more NYU Local goodies on our Spotify, including Tuesday Tracks.

This playlist is NOT helping me stay focused in Bobst. Way too much foot tapping/head bobbing going on right now.

It’s not in any particular order, but I’d like to think that “Cool” is a great first impression. And James, best believe that D’Angelo would be all over our “party in my pants” playlist.
