NYU Student Receives Lap Dance From Britney Spears In Abu Dhabi

This past weekend, one student lived out his grandest fantasy in a manner that makes the “I’m Schmacked” video’s fantastical interpretation of NYU look completely honest. Seri Orfali, NYU sophomore, received a striptease from the pop goddess of our childhoods: the one and only Britney Spears.

Through a series of fortunate coincidences and savvy networking, Orfali got to go on stage at a Spears concert in Abu Dhabi where he achieved his fifteen minutes (or, well, three) of fame.

Orfali deigns himself the “number one Britney Spears even more so than [YouTube sensation] Chris Crocker,” better known as the “Leave Britney alone!” kid. He flew to London two weeks ago to see Spears perform, and upon returning happened to run into the musician’s assistant at a club.

The Stern sophomore naturally knew the entire Spears camp by name and face, and sparked a relationship with Spears’ assistant, bodyguards, make-up assistant, and more. The bodyguards told Orfali they would remember him if he came to the next concert scheduled in Abu Dhabi. The student, who lived in Abu Dhabi for 18 years prior to attending NYU, scrambled to get a ticket, and sure enough made it to the show on the 12th.

“I was in general admission, but my sister and I snuck up to the front,” said Orfali. There, the same bodyguards remembered the intensely eager nineteen-year-old, and offered him two wristbands and an opportunity that would force less-composed fans to acquire a change of pants.

Orfali was told he would be allowed to go on stage for the over-sexed “Lace and Leather” as long as he remained calm and did not ask Spears to add him on Facebook. Seriously. “From that moment on I was floating,” explained Orfali. “I was completely and utterly consumed by fantasy.”

On stage, the student sat in a MiniCooper where dancers bound his arms behind his back. He then received a playful striptease from Spears in front of a packed stadium. When the song ended, Orfali was brought backstage with the performers. He did not have a chance to talk to the “sweaty” Spears, but it did not matter at that point. His most romantic desire had come true.

Sure, Orfali did not get to talk to his idol, nor did he get an autograph. He does, however, have some of the best bragging rights on campus, with a photo of himself on NYU-alumnus Perez Hilton’s site, and a YouTube clip with 13,000 views (and growing) of his moment in the spotlight.

As the “I’m Schmacked” trailer illustrates, the idea of attending NYU sometimes falsely promises a quixotic fantasy in key with the escapades of Carrie Bradshaw and/or the dudes from How to Make it in America. While everyone who actually attends our school actually knows that the clip only captures the glory of our school (we wish there were scenes from Bobst during midterms), some students actually get to live in a happy-little-illusion. Orfali gives Local hope that we too can get lap dances from our heroes. For a more thorough review of the concert, check out GulfNews.
