In Which Myles Tackles The Double Down

In Which Myles Tackles The Double Down from NYU Local on Vimeo.

Every freshman fears gaining the not-so-farfetched freshman 15, so it only makes sense that I would eat the new KFC Double Down. The sandwich is not a sandwich at all; it’s really just bacon, cheese, and special sauce nestled between two crispy (or grilled) chicken breasts. The experience is overwhelming to say the least and it left me thirsty and tired (in fact, almost hangover-like). Although the after effects may be heinous, while eating it I was in a state of obvious bliss. The sodium overload does wonders (read: probable damage) for the pleasure center of the brain. Watch me enjoy and go pick one up at your own risk.

I found the double down to be wholly disappointing. It basically tasted like salt and bad cheese. I did not, however, feel as gross afterwards, I just felt incredibly dry for the rest of the day.
