A Million Little Pieces author and all-around liar James Frey is helping the recently fired Sheila at Gawker today with “menial tasks” because he wanted to meet the people that “hate” him. He brought doughnuts.
I wish I had a larger narrative arc for what it means when a famous, best-selling, Oprah-approved author shows up to intern at a media gossip blog, but really it’s just odd, though still worth noting.
I, too, am interning, but it’s not such a quirky, novel event. Are you working for less than you deserve (or nothing) to hopefully someday secure a job where you can work for less than you deserve? How’s it going?

she looks like mallory jenkins.
(hi!)
Ha ha interning. I am forced to work menial jobs for paltry wages so that I can afford stuff like dinner and weed. My career path is going to land me straight in a cubicle at an office just like the ones outside the dusty back room that is my temporary office.
Y’all enjoy your future success, now!
Data. Entry. I dream in Excel.

by the way, james frey isn’t gay! he has a gf or wife?
I liked “A Million Little Pieces.” I don’t care what he lied about.

i actually hated it! but don’t care what he lied about! just thought it was a snooze.

i’ve been interning for years and its generally demeaning as hell. but i actually just left one internship for a more prestigious one (HOPEFULLY SECURING ME A JOB WHEN I GRADUATE. CAN I HEAR A “HELLLL YAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!”) and it actually really made me feel like shit. what does this mean?
