agree with paros' comments as well as bloomberg's. protesters are protesting against people who aren't making millions upon millions of dollars and the aesthetic of the people involved don't lend any credibility. you might say why should that matter? who's going to take a person who isn't proper attire seriously? and how is taxing the rich going to turn the economy around? looking for scapegoats won't solve anything but pushing your representatives of congress to enact changes like closing tax loopholes (not the same thing as taxing the rich) or enacting entitlement reform might.

The movement is gaining momentum after a week and a half and Occupy movements are popping up all over the country! Stand up together and use your voice to give to those without. Tax the rich and feed the poor- you are the 99%! See my Occupy Wall Street painting and Anonymous homage on my artist’s blog at http://dregstudiosart.blogspot.com/2011/09/occupywallstreet.html where you can also see videos of the protests and police brutality as well as get other sources for real coverage of the movement.

Funny how in a land of unparalleled opportunity, people are more content complaining and calling it "proactivity" than being truly proactive and bettering their own situation by themselves.
