THURSDAY
Lebowski Fest @ Brooklyn Bowl — 6 p.m. – Celebrating all things Lebowski, dude. Only one requirement: you must abide.
Yelle @ Highline Ballroom — 9 p.m. – Everyone’s favorite French electro band comes stateside. Maybe you should drink one of Suri‘s French beers to that.
SEGA Sonic Colors @ Bryant Park Ice Rink — 6 p.m. – SEGA is somehow promoting the new Sonic the Hedgehog game with free ice skating at Bryant Park, which is already free in the first place. So is it more free?
Japanese Fashion Symposium @ Fashion Institute of Technology — through Friday – I’m convinced this is just a guise for a secret anime festival.
NYU Slam Final Tryout Feat. Jon Sands @ Palladium — 7 p.m. – As A.J. pointed out earlier this week, the NYU slam team is awesome. They’re poets, and they know it.
FRIDAY
NYLE + Das Racist + Homeboy Sandman @ Southpaw — 9 p.m. – A friend asked me the other day if Nyle was still performing live, to which I responded “Of course he’s still performing. He’s actually performing with Das Racist this Friday, you asshole. You’re not my friend anymore.”
NY Art Book Fair @ MoMa PS 1 — through Sunday – For a more fun time, the Gallatin bingo board can also be played here.
Interpol @ United Palace Theatre — 8 p.m. – [witty comment] [hipster joke?]
Vince Vaughn & Kevin James Roadshow — Avery Fisher Hall (not that one) — 8 p.m. – Hopefully their act looks better than the trailer for their new movie “The Dilemma.”
Adam Corolla @ Carolines — 7:30 p.m. (through Sunday) – He’s in town for the weekend, so feel free to catch up on your completely-inappropriate-joke deficit.
SATURDAY
LOCAL PICK: Target First Saturday @ Brooklyn Museum — 5 p.m. – This is definitely not the first (or even second) time I’ve gone out of my way to plug the Brooklyn Museum First Saturday parties. If you haven’t read my pitch before, I’ll summarize it in a equation: Prospect Park + cool museum + huge dance party + alcohol + family environment + good hipsters + free = free, huge dance party for drunk families and good hipsters in a cool museum in Prospect Park. Got it?
Roger Waters: The Wall Live @ MSG — 8 p.m. – Yes, Roger Waters performs “The Wall” live. Step into MSG that night and you might think Prop 19 got passed… in MSG.
TimesTalks: Tracy Morgan Live! @ The Times Center — 4 p.m. – On a scale of one to ten, how ridiculous will this be? Correct answer: Tracy Morgan.
Black Lips @ The Shank — 8 p.m. – Solid indie band. Poor band name.
Diwali Celebration @ Hindu Temple Society in Queens — 1 p.m. – Happy Diwali! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you are totally uncultured.
SUNDAY
NYC Marathon 2010 @ Everywhere — 10 a.m. – Finally, you don’t have to see that one guy on your floor wear running shorts for another few months.
MoMA Nights with DJ Turmix @ MoMA — 4:30 p.m. – The party is art in itself, is it not?
Jews and Chinese Food @ Museum of Jewish Heritage — 1 p.m. — Next on WTF Gallatin Majors…

And check out DOC NYC, an annual documentary film festival in its first year. It runs from November 3rd (yesterday) until the 9th (Tuesday next week). There are world premiers, 3D films, and most screenings feature talks or Q&As with the directors!

Cerebral Ballzy is playing with Black Lips at The Shank, worth mentioning.
