  • Meme Factory @ Warren Weaver Hall — 7:30 – 9 p.m Big river man download. We’ve been amped about this since last week. I mean, we’re college bloggers in New York City — “Meme” is our middle name.
  • BOOTIE NYC French Revolution @ BLVD (Bowery & Spring) — 10 p.m. – 4 a.m. Something about French DJ’s and mashup tracks all night long. This must be what studying abroad in Paris must be like.
  • Christopher Columbus Block Party @ Murray St. & Broadway — 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Because nothing says block party quite like the destruction of the entire American Indian population!

SATURDAY

  • Open House New York on the High Line (through Sunday) @ High Line Park — All Day Finally take a trip to the new High Line Park and listen to some high-profile speakers discuss … the new High Line Park.
  • Spike Jonze Film Screening (“Spike Jonze: The First 80 Years” Exhibit) @ MOMA — 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. MOMA has been having a Spike Jonze tribute exhibit for a little while, and we suggest you check it out while listening to Arcade Fire. Just for the complete effect.
  • NYC Great Big Wheel Race @ Central Park (104th St.) — 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. Newmindspace organizes events like this that make the City seem like a kindergarten playground. Bring your vehicle with wheels (or take my Razor scooter) and race other bored New Yorkers.
  • KISS @ Madison Square Garden — 7:30 p.m. Yes, that KISS.

SUNDAY

  • Miss Lez Pageant 2009 @ Knitting Factory — 8 p.m. Kaela linked to this event in her sexy events list yesterday. This might just be the sexiest of them all, especially if you’re into lesbians (or you’re just lesbian!).
  • Lenny Kravitz @ The Fillmore — 8 p.m. Don’t pretend that “American Woman” wasn’t your favorite song in middle school.

MONDAY

  • 65th Annual Columbus Day Parade — Fifth Ave. from 44th St. to 79 — 12 – 3 p.m. I’m not going to bother with a description because, in case you didn’t know, we have class on Columbus Day this year. Unless you have a child, this parade isn’t skip-class-worthy.
  • Meet the Filmmakers: Spike Jonze @ SoHo Apple Store — 6 p.m. Yes, we already mentioned Spike Jonze. But depending on our thoughts of Where the Wild Things Are, we’re going to praise / jeer the hell out of him. Then we’re going to play on the Apple desktops.
