Shopkeepers all around New York are trying to entice reluctant shoppers, and Collecther, a vintage clothing boutique in Bed-Stuy, seems to be ahead of the game.  Sundays there are now “Recessionista Sundays” with all the dresses going for only $25, and you also get a complimentary mimosa! Collecther also offers free alterations to clothing purchased there, so if it’s just a tad too loose, you can easily get it taken in at the store.

Collecther is just a train ride and a short walk away– the free drink and dress should more than make up for the $2.00/$2.50 that you spent on the subway.

This was great!! The owner, Shana, was super friendly and helpful, plus the store is super cute and close to Fort Greene which is also pretty sweet. Spent a nice day in B’klyn and will definitely be back!
Hope you do more of these!
