Brooklyn Flea last Saturday was pleasantly unrelated to Valentine’s Day—still the same 80′s dresses, hipster printed tees, and old vintage cameras with nary a heart in sight. There were old preserved black-and-white photographs of movie stars, bamboo plants, and silver army tags so anyone looking for an alternative to the usual chocolate in a heart-shaped box and dead-eyed teddy bear could find it here in DUMBO. Brooklyn Flea is usually in Fort Greene during the summer, but it has relocated to the indoors of an industrial-looking building on Front St. I ended up buying a brass horseshoe pendant, and then I went next door to reBar and drank dark and stormys until the V-Day dates came in.
