It’s five in the morning, I’m pretending to work on a french essay while actually thinking about how I’m totally going to BabyCakes today to get a shot of frosting. Yes. You heard me, a frosting shot. Like take it to the brain, and then slam back another shot of $%@*ing frosting. I was just reminded about this fantastic-ness via DailyCandy’s Newsletter, which features the shots on their “10 things to do for less than $10″. The price is $1.50 and the shot is small, which is a draw back, but I really just like the novelty factor. I know I can buy a whole jar for like 3 bucks, but me + jar of frosting is a bad idea.
BabyCakes is a fantastic bakery, with a really great selection of sweets. So if frosting isn’t your thing, this place makes some of the best cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life. Plus the offerings are gluten free, wheat free, casein free, soy free, refined white sugar free, vegan, and kosher. I’m still shocked that a cupcake missing everything my grandma bakes with doesnt taste like cardboard. But actually I prefer the taste of of these cupcakes to Magnolia–if I’m gonna spend like 2-3 bucks on a cupcake, might as well be interesting and healthy.
