NYU Sophomore Paul Fortini Killed by Cars in Brooklyn

CAS student Paul Fortini died after he was hit by a car this weekend. A student from Gramercy Green said that he was walking along the Brooklyn Queens Expressway when he was struck by the car. Messages from friends and classmates have since poured onto his Facebook Profile. Fortini was a sophomore and lived on the twentieth floor of Gramercy Green.
Update: WNBC reports that a man with a 23 Year Old ID from Massachusetts was hit by two different cars on Friday, just before midnight. Paul Fortini is 19, but it is believed that he could have been carrying a fake ID. It is still unknown why he was crossing the BQE.
Update: Friends of the deceased report that he was crossing the BQE in an attempt to return to Manhattan after leaving a group of friends in Brooklyn. Paul called a friend at Gramercy about 45 minutes before being struck and was said to have sounded disoriented.
